I am a budding seagrass researcher, currently studying for a  PhD at James Cook University in Cairns, looking at the role of herbivory in structuring seagrass meadows around the Great Barrier Reef.

I have experience studying seagrasses in the UK for my   masters research project at the University of Southampton.     I've also worked on a project to map the seagrass in the Solent while working for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

I'm passionate about conserving our marine environment, science communication and producing results which can be used in management decisions.

Follow me on twitter or check out my blog to find out more about seagrass and what life as a PhD student is like.
